My passion to make soy aromatherapy candles started late in life. One day I was looking around my house, and I saw half burned paraffin candles, votives and tealights everywhere. Sometimes the wax even poured over the side of the candles leaving marks on the furniture. There was always the morning after smell from burning a paraffin wax candle for several hours.

Late one evening, my plan was to relax by romantic candlelight in the Jacuzzi with a nice bottle of wine - so the scene was set. However, burning a number of candles made it difficult to breath, and my coughing ruined the romantic moment. Alarm bells starting ringing in my head. The next morning, I started researching ingredients found in candle wax. To my shock, I learned, what I had been doing. I was burning a petroleum product releasing toxins, poisoning myself, and my much loved family! In my upset, and frustration, I got boxes and literally tossed, dumped, and in some cases threw every single candle I found in the house out into the trash.

At that moment my decision was reached!
